Scout

Privacy policy

This policy describes Google account access used by the private Scout environment.

Purpose and authorization

Scout accesses Google account data only to provide functionality explicitly authorized by the account owner for the owner's local environment.

Gmail access

The current Gmail integration uses read-only access. It does not send, draft, reply to, delete, archive, label, move, or change the read status of Gmail messages.

Local storage

OAuth credentials and tokens are stored locally on systems controlled by the account owner. The local monitor is designed to acquire only the information needed for authorized Scout functions, not to create a complete shadow copy of the mailbox.

Sale and disclosure

Email data is not sold and is not shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Revoking access

Google access can be revoked at any time through the connected-app permissions in the authorized Google Account.

Scope

This policy applies only to the private Scout Google integration described on this site.
